Clinics & Services
MINOR SURGERY
Certain minor surgical procedures including joint injections can be performed by some of the doctors within the surgery. This may save unnecessary visits to the hospital.
CHILD DEVELOPMENT CHECKS
A doctor along with one of the practice nurses, provide full child health observation, monitoring physical and social development. Parents will be notified when these are due and invited to make an appointment for their child.
MEDICAL CERTIFICATES
In order for a GP to provide a certificate for the DWP or an employer, the doctor must have previously seen the patient or have evidence of the condition from another doctor. Sickness certificates are not required for the first 7 days of absence – you MUST use a self-certificate for those days. Where a certificate is requested which is not covered by DWP regulations, there is a charge payable.
ANTENATAL
Antenatal clinics are held by appointment only. They are run by the community midwife. As soon as you know you are pregnant, contact the surgery to arrange ante-natal care.
